Healthy body and healthy spirit = greater endurance and better results

Accumulated stress and anxiety can come together and you suddenly find yourself in a situation where you lose your zest for life, you don't feel confident and you are simply not well. These emotions can influence business very easily.

In sales, you need great mental resilience, because you often have to face rejection from clients. The work is hard and now you have to work twice as hard to achieve your sales goals. In this environment, you need great intellectual sharpness to outsmart your competitors. Mental acuity requires great physical endurance. Similarly, mental endurance is directly affected by physical endurance.

If you allow yourself to succumb to anxiety, then it will be much harder to gain the physical stamina you need. Focus on yourself and do regular exercises to help boost your self-reflection and focus on presence. It is important to maintain mental and physical endurance.

Stand in front of a mirror, ideally every day, or at least several times a week, and ask yourself:

  • Do I take care of myself?
  • Do I drink too much alcohol?
  • Do I drink enough fluids?
  • Do I eat too much, or the wrong things?
  • Do I get enough exercise?
  • Do I do things to my body that makes my mental recovery difficult?

If the answer to questions two, four and six are yes, decide to make changes. Reach deep into yourself and find discipline. Act now, and start eating properly, sleep well, and exercise. At first, it will be difficult to find time in your routine to start positive habits that you can keep up. Start gradually with one and work on it, and then add more when you can.

For example, do you want to start eating healthier? Write a shopping list and a list of dishes for the week, which you place on the refrigerator. Prepare the ingredients in advance for a quality snack during the day. If don't drink enough fluids, get a carafe, to put in front of you on your desk. These small stimuli will make you create positive routines and improve your physical and, gradually, mental health. Try it! It really works.
